sì sì, ho avuto st'impressione... humbug ha un suono molto più limpido, te ne accorgi in pezzi come my propeller e soprattutto dangerous animals. e poi la batteria suona al top... diciamo che humbug per gli AM è un po' come SOTSOG per gli Oasis, almeno per me l'album meglio prodotto a livello di suono dei bros. e dire che di humbug ho un semplice cdrip a 192k mentre di suck it and see ho masterizzato i flac.... nonostante questo.....

se solo quest'album avesse il "suono" di humbug sarebbe davvero un capolavoro. è evidente che a quei livelli tutto è voluto e di conseguenza anche la produzione leggermente più scarna, ma se avessero lavorato sulla qualità del suono come su humbug avremmo raggiunto livelli fuori galassia

Anche io avrei preferito che avessero portato avanti il sound di Humbug, infarcendo i loro suoni con ancora più stoner-rock...ma non avendo Homme come produttore, bensì il solito James Ford, sono tornati su sonorità più british.
Comunque mi piace molto, cresce con gli ascolti , è molto melodico, e i testi di Alex sono sempre superlativi!
Hanno cambiato ancora una volta senza snaturarsi e apprezzo il tentativo di non fare cloni di Wathever People ecc.ecc.
La mia preferita è la track finale, that's where you're wrong!

Arctic Monkeys' Alex Turner: 'I don't mind being compared to Oasis'

Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner has said he doesn't mind the comparisons with Oasis that his band receive in North America.

Speaking to Reuters, Turner also reiterated his belief that the band's newly released fourth album 'Suck It And See' is a much more "mellow" album than 'Humbug', adding that the band wanted it to have a "human" feel.

Turner said in response to a question about whether he minded being compared to Oasis: "Not really, I mean, it's like we're both a British rock and roll band, we're kind of bound to get compared to Oasis in other countries."

He continued: "We are both from the North, similar haircut. But musically, it is a little bit different. I mean, we are huge fans of them, growing up and all that, they were a really important band for us. I don't mind being compared to Oasis at all."

The frontman also spoke about the way the band recorded 'Suck It And See', adding: "The recording techniques were a little bit more traditional. We did a lot of live takes, with the four of us playing and we wanted to get a human feel to it."

He also said that though he believed the band's fourth LP was mellower than their previous efforts, it also contained fast paced songs like those in their early work.

Turner said: "I think it's pretty frantic at times. It has its moments that are a bit more like the chimey guitar thing, like reverberated out that occurs in quite a lot of the songs and I suppose that does give it quite a mellow aspect. I guess probably compared with the first two, it is not as fast and crazy. But it has moments like that."
