It's official: the Arctic Monkeys are the British Breakthrough Artist.
With strict competition rom the likes of the Magic Numbers, Kaiser Chiefs and James Blunt, the Arctic Monkeys were obviously shocked to receive the award. According to brits.co.uk,
‘We’re awash with emotion, we’re aghast,†they wibbled..
The arards took place today (15/02) and will be broadcast tomorrow at 8pm on ITV1.
The Arctic Monkeys are currently in Portsmouth as part of the NME Awards Tour, and were therefore unavailable to accept the award in person. A pre-recorded message was shown.
