Setlist:

fitb
turn up the sun
lyla
morning glory
cigarrets & alcohol
idle
live forever
meaning of soul
mucky fingers
champagne supernova
rock n roll star
wonderwall
idlers dream (abortita)
don't look back in anger
my generation

Some singers try to be cool; Liam Gallagher doesn't do trying; he just is. If John Lennon were still alive, he'd want to be Liam Gallagher.

spiegazione di Idler's Dream

Marylin!
by far better then hollywood bowl and chula vista show even though the set was smaller because its a radio festival gig. noel and liam were in high spirits and kept constant attention to me and my friends. at one point my boyfriend yelle dout idler's dream to noel and he actually played the opening riff and said that was all were were gonna get. there were so many highlights but i'm so beyond myself right now that i can't think straight.

best part: liam walks over to me and points me out and threw the tambourine to me. my hand bled becuz i cut myself and people were trying to take it away from me but in the end it was mine. the best part was that he singled me out and gave it to me because i was so madferit

cheers.

The band play a triumphant set at the KROQ Inland Invasion...

Oasis wrapped up their final date of the West Coast leg of their American tour with a triumphant set at Los Angeles radio station KROQ's Inland Invasion on Saturday (September 17).

The band, who performed a sold out gig at the Hollywood Bowl earlier in the week, returned to the Southern California area to thrill nearly 60,000 fans with an hour long set.

A host of artists including members of The Bravery, Jet and Weezer stayed on following their sets to watch the group's performance made up of classics including 'Lyla', 'Wonderwall', 'Champagne Supernova', 'Don't Look Back In Anger', and 'Live Forever', which frontman Liam Gallagher dedicated to hurricane ravished New Orleans.

Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan also stayed on past his event-opening set missing his scheduled ride to Phoenix[/B] on Sunday (September 18) to catch the rock giants.

"I was supposed to go on the Jet tour bus and their tour manager was like, 'We're going now!' I went 'Nah, I'm fucking staying. I want to watch Oasis,'" he told NME.COM. "They were pulling me going, 'We're going now!' and I'm going 'Nah, I'm going to get a flight tomorrow,' but I did stay behind to watch Oasis."

Oasis' performance capped off the day long event billed by KROQ as the "last festival of summer". Other highlights of the show included a greatest hits set by Beck, a jolly mid-afternoon ska romp by Madness, Bloc Party on the side stage and Weezer battling through sound difficulties to play for the fans.

Flat KROQ review

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DEVORE - For the past five years, KROQ-FM (106.7), the LA-based blowtorch that trumpets itself as "LA and Orange County's only new rock," has brought the Inland Invasion, its end-of-summer musical fete, to Hyundai Pavilion.

Similar to the station's Weenie Roast, which kicked off the summer at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, the day was a sampling of acts from the station's play list, including the new (Jet, the Bravery, Kasabian, Bloc Party and the Arcade Fire), the well-known (Beck, Weezer, Garbage, 311, Oasis and Live) and the well-worn (Madness and Fishbone).

Still, in spite of the wealth of talent, the day seemed to lack the spirit of non-radio-based festivals like Coachella or San Diego's Street Scene. The 25,000 or so fans in attendance were more geared to radio hits than the bands' catalogs.

The strongest set of the day belonged to Weezer. Singer Rivers Cuomo and the boys won over the crowd with a litany of the band's infectious power pop. From opening number "My Name Is Jonas," off the group's self-titled debut, to "Pinkerton's" "El Scorcho" and latest set "Make Believe's" "We Are All On Drugs," the LA-based quartet was in top form.

Due to Cake's late cancellation, Weezer came out for a festival-rare encore that featured Cuomo playing a stunning acoustic "Island in the Sun" on a platform in the middle of the pavilion.

Oasis followed Weezer but came off lackluster as singer Liam Gallagher seemed more enthralled by strutting around the stage in a trench coat and sunglasses than by playing music. His voiced seemed strained and flat.

In contrast, his brother Noel sounded sharp and soulful on "The Importance of Being Idle." Makes you wonder where this band could be without the capricious lead singer.
