THE DARKNESS have split with their bassist FRANKIE POULLAIN.
The group are currently in the studio working on their second album, the follow-up to ’Permission To Land’.
However, Poullain will no longer be part of the set-up. A statement claims “musical differences†as the reason.
The statement reads: With immediate effect, bass player, Frankie Poullain, is no longer a member of The Darkness. Remaining members have cited musical differences as the reason for his departure. A replacement will be announced within coming months.â€
The new LP is being produced Roy Thomas Baker - most famous for his work with Foreigner, Cheap Trick and The Cars.
As previously reported on NME.COM, The Darkness are currently working in the same studio in which Queen recorded ’Bohemian Rhapsody’.
