I've put a new song on this page. We wrote it a couple of months ago as a theme for a Scottish film called Hallam Foe, directed by David Mackenzie who directed Young Adam and Asylum. The title character is played by Jamie Bell who was the lead in Billy Elliot.
Sexual tension, voyeurism, dark humour, Scotland and death are themes of the film - all of which seem good ingredients for a song by the Ferdinand. Nick and I read the script and went to screenings of early edits in the Glasgow Film Theatre which gave us the ideas for the melody and lyrics. Other Domino artists appear on the soundtrack including Psapp, Unpoc and Sons & Daughters.

Franz Ferdinand, inizio del nuovo album
Alex Kapranos, in veste di produttore, ha praticamente terminato la lavorazione del nuovo CD dei Cribs. E, da New York, ha riferito che sta per rientrare in Gran Bretagna per iniziare a comporre il terzo album dei Franz Ferdinand. Sebbene nel corso del loro ultimo tour i FF abbiano scritto "sette od otto" nuove canzoni, Kapranos ha detto che il nuovo CD avrà molto probabilmente "un sound tutto nuovo". "Mi piacerebbe che il prossimo album fosse veramente nuovo, con un sound diverso da tutte le cose che abbiamo fatto finora", ha riferito il frontman del gruppo scozzese. Kapranos ha aggiunto che il loro chitarrista Nick McCarthy ha attrezzato uno spazio a Glasgow e che quindi, verosimilmente, la band si trasferirà proprio lì per assemblare i nuovi brani del successore di "You could have it so much better". Dopo le prime registrazioni i Franz Ferdinand decideranno se fare tutto il disco da soli o se invece affidarsi ad un produttore.

bella questa canzone...stanno trasformando le loro canzoni sempre più beatlesiane,anche se le quelle stile primo album sono le migliori.
