Arriva il 24 aprile l'inaspettato EP degli Arctic Monkeys

L'EP degli Arctic Monkeys, del quale Rockol ha riferito alcuni particolari alcuni giorni fa, ha ora titolo e data di pubblicazione. Il disco giunge piuttosto inaspettato in quanto segue a breve distanza di tempo l'incredibile successo che ha avuto "Whatever people say I am, that's what I'm not", l'album col quale il gruppo di Sheffield ha ottenuto il record per numero di copie vendute nella prima settimana; le logiche commerciali suggeriscono solitamente di non saturare il mercato, ma Alex Turner e soci hanno voluto fare di testa loro e così l'EP è già stato confezionato. Il supporto è stato intitolato "Who the fuck are Arctic Monkeys?" e giungerà nelle rivendite il prossimo 24 aprile. L'EP contiene i seguenti brani:

"Cigarette smoker Fiona"
"From despair to the departure lounge"
"No buses"
"Who the fuck are Arctic Monkeys?".

Arctic Monkeys talk new material

The band are eager to get back into the studio
Arctic Monkeys have revealed that they have nearly written the follow-up to their debut 'Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not'.

The band are eager to head back into the studio to start work on the second album as they have ten new songs already penned.

"The second album will be different I think," singer Alex Turner said. "We've already got more than ten songs, because we've been writing for a long time. The last song that went on the (first) album - 'You Probably Couldn't See For The Lights But You Were Looking Straight At Me' - was written last May."

He continued: "So there are all the songs that we've written since then and they're all a bit different. I'll just be excited about getting back into the studio."

The singer also revealed that the band enjoy playing a few games with their success.

"I think we write great tunes and we ruffle feathers pretty well," he told Nuts. "I think, when you're in a position to do some feather ruffling, it's not always a bad thing. I don't know even why we do it - we just like being fucking naughty little boys sometimes."

La notte scorsa, secondo un componente della band, Alex Turner ha minacciato di lasciare la band. C'è stata una lite fra Alex e Jamie; tutto è cominciato quando Alex ha rubato il doccia gel di Cookie-
"Un tale argomento è ridicolo -ha dichiarato Andy- c'è stata una zuffa, Alex ha colpito Jamie e Jamie ha colpito Alex E'stato pazzesco, finchè abbiamo avuto la sicurezza che la coppia si era già strappati ognuno i capelli dell'altro! "

Sarà questa situazione la fine degli Arctic Monkeys?

Last night, according to an insider of the band, Alex Turner threatened to leave the band.
The row between Alex and Jamie occured when Alex stole some of Cookies shower gel.
"Such a rediculous argument" stated Andy.
"There was a scuffle, Alex hit Jamie and Jamie hit Alex. It was manic, once we had security in the pair had already ripped each others hair out!"

Could this spell the end for the Arctic Monkeys?
