John Peel Tribute CD Announced

A double album of John Peel-approved and championed artists have been collected for a new charity CD set for release on the Monday (October 17) following the BBC’s John Peel Day (October 13).


The album will feature 40-tracks from artists ranging from classics (Tyrannosaurus Rex, The Clash) to the predictable and much loved Peel faves (The Undertones, The Fall) to representatives of the new school (Blur, Pulp, Super Furry Animals) and will be released through Warner Strategic Marketing.

A portion of profits will go to various charities including the Salvation Army, East Anglia's Children's Hospices and the Kariandusi School Trust.
