The rock legends turn down $250 million to tour
04 Sep 05 - Pink Floyd have refused to reunite for one last tour - despite an offer of $250m.

The band were one of the highlights of Live 8 at Hyde Park after they reformed for the one-off performance.

In a shock move, Roger Waters returned to play with the band after walking out in 1981. His departure led to a bitter legal row and two decades of band members not talking to each other.

After the success of Live 8, Roger Waters has revealed the band were offered $250m as total profit if they all reformed for one last tour.

In an interview for the new issue of Word magazine (out Thursday), Roger Waters said he "really loved" playing with the band again.

He said they turned down the chance to tour. But Waters added they may be tempted to play again at some stage.

He said: "I hope we do it again. If some other opportunity arose, I could even imagine us doing Dark Side Of The Moon again - you know, if there was a special occasion. It would be good to hear it again."

At £136m, the tour cash would have been equivalent to £1 for every album they have sold in their 38-year career.

One of Pink Floyd's most famous songs is Money. It includes the lyric "grab that cash with both hands and make a stash".

è un vero peccato che non tornino a fare un tour insieme... certamente la soddisfazione di vedere centinaia di ragazzi al loro concerto varrebbe più di 250mila $!!! e poi... sn sicura che farebbero un mucchio di soldi comunque con il numero di biglietti venduti perchè le persone si riverseranno a quel concerto a migliaia!!!! sarebbe bellissimo riverderli insieme... al live 8 sn stati a dir poco fantastici e per me che li adoro ma sn troppo piccola per averli visto dal vivo sarebbe come realizzare un sogno!!!!!! una leggenda diventata realtà!! rivogliamo i pink floy insiemeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
