BABYSHAMBLES REUNITE
BABYSHAMBLES sensationally reformed at a gig last night (August 1) in STOKE.
Having not spoken to each other in weeks amid rumours that Pete Doherty had sacked the rest of the band, the group made a surprise appearance at the Underground .
The gig was the band’s first since pulling their entire UK tour last month, and failing to show for the Big Gay Out festival in London’s Finsbury Park.
A fan at the show told NME.COM: “It was pretty fucking awesome. It was only two quid to get in, they came on three times, I got covered in beer, Pete didn't seem too wrecked and there was a guy dressed up as Max Carlish standing right behind me.â€
Another fan added: “I was there and it was fucking awesome and for only £2 I couldn’t beleive it. When they went outside I followed and was talking to Pete for about half an hour. He was dead sound and he was happy to sign autographs for any one and speak to everyone. I asked him about the tour and he said I was asking the wrong person. Then I said will you be playing again and he goes ‘I dunno I think we’re going have to’, but he seemed like he was happy to be back performing. What a night! Babyshambles are back and on top form.â€
The group’s new single ’Fuck Forever’ is scheduled to be released on August 15.
