COLDPLAY have followed their massive success in the UK by scoring their first Number One album in America.

The band’s album ’X&Y’ sold 737,000 copies inside a week in the US, and is the second biggest selling first week sale in the country, beaten only by 50 Cent’s ’The Massacre’, which topped a million in its first week.

In the UK, the album went straight to the top of the UK albums charts, becoming the second biggest first week seller in British chart history, behind Oasis’ third album ’Be Here Now’.

It’s the first time since the release of Radiohead’s ’Kid A’ that a new British album has occupied the top spot on both charts. In total, the band are Number One in 22 countries.

Coldplay are currently on a European tour, which includes a headline appearance at Glastonbury festival (June 25).

quanto hanno venduto di preciso in una settimana, ed in un solo giorno in uk?

in un solo giorno 150.000 ciopie, in una settimana sulle 460.000 circa

cmq è da 1 mese che parliamo degli Oasis che sono tornati alla grande nelle classifiche di vendita...dobbiamo ammettere che i coldplay sono il fenomeno dell'anno eh

hanno l'album alla n°1 e il singolo alla n°10 negli USA, mentre gli Oasis sono alla 12 e lyla nn esiste proprio

dovrebbe sfondare il milione e mezzo a domani i dati precisi
però molti hanno sottovalutato la crisi di rigetto
c'è pure scritto nelle avvertenze del cd:
è un medicinale usare con cautela

temo di averne abusato
oggi tentavo di dare da mangiare alle tartarughine con in sottofondo x e y e all'ascolto di Low sono morte stecchite

oggi già non mi andava di ascoltarlo!
per AROBTTH invece ero super contento di averlo comprato!
