Hear the first 14 minutes of music The Verve made after deciding to reunite for free on NME.COM from today (October 22).

Rather than kicking off their reformation with a band meeting, the Wigan legends met in a studio in Richmond and jammed out some musical ideas together.

The first fruits from that session can now be heard today for the first time from 10.30am (BST) in the form of the 'The Thaw Session' - the title a reference to 'Deep Freeze', an experimental bonus track on the band's last album 'Urban Hymns' - a 14-minute track you can get for free.

To download a free version of the band's first new music in over ten years, simply head to NME.COM/verve from 10.30am. The download will be available for seven days only.

Promette bene, per fortuna non assomiglia a nulla di quello che Richard ha fatto da solista.

la sto ascoltando, ma non è che mi entusiasmi granchè...

Io ho molto apprezzato i lavori di Richard da solista invece..
I Verve li ho conosciuti principalmente grazie a "Urban Hymns" e poi agli album precedenti e non mi dispiacciono affatto..
Ora sono curioso di sentire il nuovo lavoro..

richard da solo ha fatto qualcosa di devente..se mettiamo insieme gli album solisti ne uscirebbe uno abbastanza buono........

La prima impressione non è granchè.. qualcosa di buono c'è, ma la traccia a mio giudizio è troppo ripetitiva.. direi che hanno ancora del lavoro da fare !!!

Ma quando esce l'album ? parlavano di novembre..

a me sembra di aver letto l'anno prossimo.......dopo il tour in uk penseranno al nuovo album...

a me il sound piace molto ed è quello dei verve di A Storm in Heaven anche se per il nuovo album (se ci sarà) spero in una via di mezzo fra A northern Soul e Urban Hymns
