Simply Red man Mick Hucknell has said that Coldplay is music made for insomniacs only.

He blames the record labels for longetivy of artists stating that only U2 will survive out of this generation of chart-toppers.

He said: "U2 should still be there, but not many others. The problem is the major labels are too busy pleasing shareholders, which means rapid returns. There's little investment in long-term careers and there are no major icons. Coldplay music is for insomniacs."
