Take That star Gary Barlow has been voted the greatest British songwriter.
Gary, 38 — whose hits include Pray, Back for Good and Patience — pipped Beatles John Lennon and Paul McCartney.
Singer Gary has also written hits for Blue, Charlotte Church, Donny Osmond — and Peter Kay's spoof character Geraldine McQueen.
