American Hi-Fi is the band fronted by former Veruca Salt member Stacey Jones.
At the band's myspace.com site, Stacy writes "I hate bios. I never know what to write. I usually prefer to have people listen to our music and then make their own decision as to what we sound like. We have been called a pop band, a power pop band, a punk pop band, a pop metal band...I think you get the picture. It's all Rock-n-Roll to me.
We have eclectic tastes. Our new record is a great example of that.
We draw from bands like Blur, Joe Jackson, Squeeze, XTC, the Police, Oasis, Cheap Trick, the Beatles. Artists that always push the envelope and constantly reinvent themselves is what we hope to do".
American Hi-Fi have their strongest following in Japan. 'Hearts On Parade' has already been released there. The rest of the world should look for the album in January.
